- Financial Assistance: The scheme offers a Central Financial Assistance (CFA) covering 60% of the cost for systems up to 2 kW, and 40% for additional capacity up to 3 kW. This translates to a subsidy of approximately ₹30,000 for a 1 kW system, ₹60,000 for 2 kW, and ₹78,000 for 3 kW.
- Model Solar Villages: One model solar village will be developed in each district, serving as a role model for solar adoption in rural areas. Selected villages will receive financial assistance and support to transition to solar-powered communities.
- Net Metering: Households can benefit from net metering, where surplus solar power generated can be fed back into the grid, reducing electricity bills or even earning income.
- Domestic Manufacturing Boost: Only solar panels manufactured in India are eligible for the subsidy, which is expected to boost the domestic manufacturing sector.

Register in the portal with the following
Select your State
Select your District
Select your Electricity Distribution Company
Enter your Consumer Account Number
Enter Mobile
Step 2
Login with the Mobile Number
Apply for the rooftop
Step 3
Once you get the feasibility approval get the plant installed by any of the registered vendor in your DISCOM
Step 4
Once Installation is completed,Submit the plant details and apply for the net meter
Step 5
Commissioning certificate will be generated from the portal,after installation of net Meter and inspection by DISCOM
Step 6
Once you get the Commissioning report, Submit the bank account details and a cancelled cheque through the portal.You will receive subsidy in your bank account within 30 days.
